- This procurement request is to provide services consisting of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to Remove and Replace Furnaces in Government Quarters, at Tuba City Boarding School, Tuba City, Arizona; Red Lake Day School, Red Lake, Arizona; and Borrego Pass Community School, Prewitt, New Mexico. The project will consist of removing thermostat and wiring, return air plenum up to flexible collar, remove gas line components from shut-off valve to furnace control valve, and entire gas vent (flue) assemble. Remove water line feeding furnace humidifier and cap at outlet of valve where applicable. Install new Contractor to supply gas fired furnaces. Install new thermostat and wiring, new gas shut-valve, new flexible connector, new drip leg, union, tees, and nipples. Fabricate and install new return air duct and non-asbestos flexible connection (vibration damper). Where specified, in two and three bedroom houses, install an additional combustion air duct of the same cross sectional area as shown on drawings. The Contractor is responsible for providing any new additions to gas piping, duct or gas vent systems which are required to adapt them to the new furnace. This procurement is being advertise under the simplified acquisition procedures, and is reserved for Small Business. Request for Quotations must be submitted on or by close of business July 03, 2003. The estimated price range for this project is between $25,000 to $100,000. Interested bidders are requested to submit a written request to obtain the Request for Quotation package either by mail or by facsimile, FAX No. (505) 863-8382, Attention: Ella M. Dempsey. Telephone requests to obtain the RFQ package will not be accepted. A limit of 20 RFQ package will be made available for the first 20 requests at no-charge. Technical inquires must be submitted in writing 10 calendar days before July 3, 2003.
