Description

The 45th Contracting Squadron has a Sole Source requirement performing operations and maintenance of the TXAR array located in southern Texas on the Permian Basin. This requirement involves monitoring reports for equipment malfunction, seismologically evaluating the array data, periodic calibrations and maintaining and replacing array equipment. The anticipated contract type will be a firm, fixed-price contract with a base period plus 2 option years. This action will be a sole source acquisition to Southern Methodist University IAW FAR Part 6.302-1. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability in response to this requirement by contacting the contracting officer, Laurie Rowe, by e-mail: laurie.rowe@patrick.af.mil. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, the government will consider all responses received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis. Important Notice: FAR 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration requires registration in the CCR database. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 54169 and the SIC Code is 8999. This requirement is for the Air Force Technical Application Center. The 45th Contracting Squadron has determined that Southern Methodist University is the only source capable of providing this requirement. SMU is the only source for this service because the TXAR array is located on land owned and controlled by SMU. Phone calls will not be accepted. SEE NUMBERED NOTE 22.
