- Description
- CDC anticipates awarding contracts to community based organizations for conducting demonstration programs in their communities for the purpose of advancing and promoting HIV prevention efforts. PLEASE NOTE: SOURCES ARE LIMITED TO COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE NON-PROFIT, HAVE TAX-EXEMPT STATUS 501(C) (3), BE LOCATED IN THE AREA WHERE SERVICES WILL BE PROVIDED OR HAVE A HISTORY OF AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF PROVIDING SERVICES IN THE AREA, HAVE PROVIDED HIV PREVENTION SERVICES OVER THE LAST 4 YEARS TO THE TARGET POPULATION AND HAVE PROOF THAT AT LEAST 75% OF THE PERSONS YOUR AGENCY SERVED IN THE PAST TWO YEARS ARE RACIAL/ETHNIC MINORITY POPULATIONS AT HIGH RISK FOR HIV INFECTION. OFFERORS SHOULD NOT BE GOVERNMENT OR MUNICIPAL AGENCIES, PRIVATE OR PUBLIC UNIVERSITIES OR COLLEGE, OR A PRIVATE HOSPITAL. OFFERORS SHOULD NOT BE 501 (c) (4) ORGANIZATIONS.
