- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute for the office of Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory in Seattle, WA. The purpose of proposed contract is for charter vessel and services to recover Mariana Hydrophones. These microphones are currently deployed in Mariana Island and have been listening to underwater sounds from erupting volcanoes. PMEL needs to recover these hydrophones during September 2003 in order to locate these previously unknown seafloor volcanoes so they can be studied in detail during the submersible cruise scheduled for January 2004. This notice may represent the only official notice. Requests for solicitation will not be honored. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.
