- Forbes Gulch is made up of two separate projects which include: (1) Cut 266 acres of dead tree and green tree thinning. Work includes hazard tree felling, machine piling of hazardous fuels, burning, rehabilitation, and seeding. Work also includes maintaining the roads. (2) This project involves 95 acres of hazard tree felling, yarding, and removal, followed by hazardous fuels reduction (pre-existing and contractor created) through contractor machine piling and burning, rehabilitation, and seeding. Work also includes maintaining the roads. Both projects are located in the Black Hills National Forest, SD. The performance period is 150 calendar days. The NAICS code is 115310. This is a 100% small business set-aside. See Numbered Note No. 1. This is an electronic solicitation only. All documents will be posted to fedbizopps.gov for download from this website exclusively. The solicitation is expected to be issued by June 20, 2003. A pre-proposal conference is tentatively scheduled for July 15, 2003.
