- Description
- The Defense Distribution Center Oklahoma City OK (DDOO) located at Tinker Air Force Base, OK, Building 506 has a requirement for a Shipping System Project. The new system will include main-line and re-circulation transportation conveyor, 18 accumulation lines, 6 gravity lines, one gravity rejection line, and a 25-line sortation capability. The new system will re-use 2 existing traversing extendable conveyors (extendaveyors). The new system will aso include a new conveyor control system capable of operating with the existing Government Distribution Standard System (DSS) and Equipment Control System (ECS). Contract award will be made using Best Value Procedures. A pre-proposal conference/site visit will be scheduled 7 to 14 days following the issue date of the Request for Proposal. The elctronic request for solicitation package will be available on-line for release to the general public on or about July 8, 2003. To receive an award resulting from this solicitation, contractors MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Registeration is available via the Internet at www.ccr.gov. This solicitation will be posted to FED BIZ OPPS at www.eps.gov.
