- Z This is a Fixed Price contract for the items listed in the Unit Price Schedule. The contract will be awarded for one base year and provides for two, one-year options. The work includes, but is not limited to: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, supervision, project management, quality control, testing, transportation, safety, appurtenances and other items necessary to cut and remove weeds, brush and trees from the WMATA right-of-way on various lines. All contractor personnel shall be required to attend a four (4) hour Right-of-Way training class to be held at a WMATA Facility. Work hours shall be between 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.. Days shall vary, depending on the location of the work, but generally will be five consecutive days, eight hours per day. Crews shall be a minimum size of four persons, and shall be available to work within seven days after each notification to proceed. The period of performance is until June 30, 2004 for the base year. Two, one-year options may be awarded dependent upon availability of funds and performance by the contractor. A PRE-BID CONFERENCE / SITE TOUR WILL BE HELD at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at the Alexandria Yard Facility located at 3101 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia.
