- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC), has a requirement to produce enhancements to the NEIC processing system, which includes real-time data acquisition from global and local seismic sensors, automatic detections, and web- and GUI-based tools for human interaction. The USGS NEIC staff requires assistance in developing programs for the NEIC upgrade. The following qualifications are considered essential to this requirement: 1) Experience in developing seismic data acquisition and analysis systems; 2) Experience in designing and implementing C-based API functions to interface C programs to the Oracle DBMS using high performance OCI libraries, designing and implementing stored procedures and views for Oracle in PL/SQL, C programming, and HTML programming; 3) Demonstrated ability to understand and analyze system requirements, and make design recommendations; and 4) Solaris administration experience. In addition, contractor shall be required to periodically attend design meeting at the USGS NEIC in Golden, Colorado. Performance period shall be from date of award through March 31, 2004. It is anticipated the RFQ will be available on or after June 19, 2003. This is a small business set-aside. See Note 1.
