Description
The National Park Service, Rocky Mountain National Park, intends to acquire all labor, oversight and use of equipment required to pump approximately 130,000 gallons of supernate from two lined ponds into one unlined percolation pond; pump and dispose of outside the park approximately 10,000 gallons of sewage sludge; and remove approximately 1,000 square yards of sewage membrane liner. As funds permit, the National Park Service also intends to acquire on an additive basis all labor, oversight and use of equipment required to remove approximately 660 feet of chain link fence; remove and dispose of outside the park all fence posts; and salvage the chain link mesh. As funds permit, the National Park Service also intends to acquire on an additive basis all labor, oversight and use of equipment required to fill the three ponds with the approximately 450 cubic yards of material used to create the pond embankments; and grade the site to natural looking contour. Performance is to commence approximately August 4, 2003 and conclude approximately September 19, 2003, weather permitting. A single fixed-price contract is contemplated following Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government plans to solicit and evaluate written proposals and make an award without conducting discussions. The anticipated award date is on or about July 30, 2003. The NAICS code is 234930, Industrial Nonbuilding Structure Construction. The small business size standard is $17 million. See numbered note 1. The magnitude of the resultant contract is expected to range between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be available on or about July 7, 2003. Potential offerors are instructed to contact Vivian Ridley, Contract Specialist, by telephone at 970-586-1235 to receive a paper copy of the solicitation which will be sent via US Mail. All responsible sources may submit a proposal(s), which shall be considered.
