Description
The Veterans? Employment and Training Service of the United States Department of Labor is seeking a contractor with demonstrated experience in curriculum management to operate it?s National Veterans? Training Institute (NVTI), which is mandated to provide training and serve as a technical resource to the several thousand veterans? employment and training service providers in National and State workforce agencies across the country. Sufficient funds are expected to be appropriated by Congress this year to be able to provide training to approximately 1,350 veterans service providers at a central/residential location, and to an additional 400 veterans service providers through long distance learning training, and/or off-site training. Central/residential training and off-site training will be 28-classroom hour type courses, with an average of 24 trainees per class. The contractor must develop comprehensive curriculum for approximately three new training courses per year, and provide and conduct existing training course curriculum in a variety of subjects specific to and related to veterans employment and training. Contractor must have the accountability and ability to provide formal university/college accreditation for training courses taken by the veterans? employment and training service providers. The contractor must provide and maintain a technical resource center (much of it electronic) for continuing education and to keep veterans? employment and training service providers informed of new developments. The incumbent contractor for this requirement is The University of Colorado at Denver, Contract Number J-9-M-8-0015. The NAICS code assigned to this requirement is 611430 with a size standard of $6,000,000.00. This is a full and open competition.
