Description
Audiovisual system upgrade and expansion for the Defense Information System Agency - European Area (DISA-EUR) Regional Network Command Center hereafter referred to as the RNOSC, located in Stuttgart, Germany. The operation of the DISA-EUR RNOSC requires an array of computer-generated images onto large screens for information dissemination and situational awareness for duty technicians and management. Monitoring and manipulating these images with pinpointing (enlargement) capability is essential to the RNOSC mission. The system must provide image transmission to a multitude of existing video displays and computer monitors. In addition to the RNOSC floor displays, the video and audio must be cable of being distributed to two existing projectors in the DIR-EUR Conference Room, an DISA-EUR provided flat screen in the Commander?s Office, a flat screen at the SCO position and the two wall mount plasmas in the War Room. System must provide an audiovisual switching matrix with at least 32 inputs and 16 outputs with additional interface upgrade capability. Currently 26 audiovisual inputs will be connected. The twenty-six image selections include VCR, Satellite TV, VTC and twenty-four selected PC & UNIX workstations. Two ceiling mounted 3500 lumen projectors (front projecting) with mounting brackets, cables and interfaces are required. Each projector must be serviced by a Quad-View; providing four video image displays on each of the projectors. A new video screen in needed on the RNOSC wall that supports both projectors. Each quad view must be able to instantly switched to single full screen display of any selected image. The projectors must be mounted in manner that doesn?t obstruct the view from the center raised-console of the primary or alternate control officers. The new video screens must be a minimum of 5?11? by 4?3? inches (size of a single screen) and a maximum of 13?7? by 5?6? both screens together. It will be installed over two existing 5?11? by 4?3? rear projection screens The video switching matrix, projector, and audio controls shall be located between the primary and alternate control officers. The system must also provide two audio zones which provide speakers to the primary and secondary control officer and 4 speakers to the central RNOSC floor. Each zone must have on/off and volume control for each of the two zones. Equipment will be used for transmittion of classified data. Therefore, installation and maintenance of equipment must be accomplished by individuals holding US Department of Defense "secret" clearance. Mandatory attendance of site visit will be required.
