Description

An Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) System with a tracking and monitoring capability is required at Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) schools in Antilles, Puerto Rico, for their bus transportation programs. Proposals for all hardware, software, and associated communications services that meet solicitation requirements are welcome. Systems must be able to meet the following general functions: Remotely tracks the travel tour of all school vehicles, to the street level, within any of the designated geographic areas; allows determination if a bus is deviating from a predefined route during its travel tour; implements communication between traveling vehicles and data collection points via cellular service; provides notification both audibly and visually of an emergency situation; and, enables reports on historical data for any and all travel tours.
