Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The following clauses are applicable to this solicitation: Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4 and 52.212-5. This RFQ is not set aside for small business concerns. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which, if timely received, will be considered. The associated NAICS code is 327390. USACE has a requirement for about 70 to 80 Articulated Concrete Block (closed cell) Revetment Mats of the size 30 feet by 8 feet for ultimate installation on the harbor bottom in 28 feet of water to lessen the flow of harbor bottom sediment/sand. Approved sources are Armortec’s Armorflex Class 45S Closed Cell Block Revetment Mat; Submar Inc.’s 4.5” Closed Cell Revetment Mat; and Petrotec’s Petraflex H-416 Closed Cell Revetment Mat. Articulated concrete mats shall only be of the size 30 feet long, 8 feet wide and 4.5 to 4.75 inches thick. Each mat shall also have a suitable high strength (minimum 200 poun d grab tensile) woven mono-filament filter fabric with minimum 10% open area suitably attached to the articulating concrete block revetment mat by permanent means so that it will not tear when lifted. Mats shall be transported to the Port of Indiana, Burns Harbor/Portage, Portage, IN 46368-1280. Supplier shall supply a suitable lifting beam or spreader bar for government forces offloading and subsequent government forces installation. Time of delivery shall be prior coordinated with the Contracting Office r’s Representative to insure government forces are on site to accept the deliveries. Delivery of all of the mats is required no later than 21 August 2003 by FOB Destination. Written quotations, with a unit price for each 30 feet x 8 feet x 4.5 to 4. 75 inches mat and a price for the use of the lifting beam for installation are due by 10 A.M. Central Daylight Time on 6/26/03 and may be faxed to Linda Zamarocy, CELRC-CT, Fax number 312-886-5475 or e-mailed to: Linda.L.Zamarocy@usace.army.mil. Questions regarding this procurement must be submitted in writing via fax no later than 6/23/03. Selection and award will be made to the lowest priced quoter who can meet Corps of Engineers delivery and installation requirements. No award can be made to a contract or who is not registered in the Central Contractors Registration. Registration may be completed online at http://www.ccr.com.
