Description
This posting is to find potential sources for the defined requirement. There is no solicitation package available. Dover Air Force Base DE is requesting Sources Sought on Single Point Entry Monitor. This is to identify potential offerors and solicit industry comments and questions. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided. Response to this request must include: Technical literature or any documentation that will demonstrate the potential offeror's ability to satisfy the Government's requirements. The primary requirement: Provide 24 hours a day, seven days a week manning for 100% screening of all personnel and their baggage entering the Dover AFB Passenger Terminal. Personnel entering the terminal should be screened to meet Federal Aviation Authority and Department of Defense requirements. Screening personnel will be required to report directly to the Passenger Service Shift Supervisor on duty at the beginning of each shift. Each shift will be fully manned at all times with qualified personnel. There may be a requirement to perform screening functions manually in the event screening equipment is inoperative due to power outages, mechanical failure, or equipment is being serviced. Baggage will be 100% screened to meet Federal Aviation Authority and Department of Defense requirements. Personnel and their baggage will be processed in a timely manner, normally not longer than a ten-minute wait from entering the processing line or terminal. Provide services to detect any explosives, weapons, or test devices from passing beyond the terminal checkpoint. Screening personnel will be required to test the metal detector, x-ray machine, and duress alarm systems monthly and record results. Personnel may be required to relocate to other facilities with minimum notice. Personnel will be required to participate in quarterly exercises as required by current directives. We are not interested in pricing estimates. This office must receive responses no later than 23 Apr 03. Please mail or fax information to Lt Clinton Varner, 436 CONS/LGCB, 639 Atlantic Street, Dover AFB DE 19902-5639. Phone: 302-677-5232. FAX: 302-677-2309. E-mail: clint.varner@dover.af.mil.
