- Description
- The proposed work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, material, supplies, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidental necessary to remove all asbestos materials from each house (HISTORICAL BUILDINGS) and dispose of at an EPA approved disposal site. Replace existing hot water boilers, thermostat and wiring, pumps, and associated devices including extending flue 3-ft above combustible air hood. Install new gas piping from meter to each point of use. Install new hot water piping from boiler to the existing fin tube radiators. Reconnect electrical power to boilers and pumps. Make repairs to floors and walls associated with this scope of work. Bid calls for new additions to gas piping, duct or gas vent systems which are required to adapt them to new equipment. Boilers (heating system) are to be fully operational before acceptance by the Government. All work to be performed shall be in accordance with applicable standards, codes, technical specification and drawings. The work is to take place in two and three bedrooms houses in Window Rock, Arizona on the Navajo Reservation. Bid document will be available for mailing on or about June 13, 2003. Invitation for Bid No. RMN00030058, Bid Opening Date: July 22, 2003 scheduled at 2:00 P.M./Local Time, at the BIA, Navajo Regional Office, 3rd floor conference room. This project is Total Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated price range for this project is between $100,000 and 250,000. Interested bidders are requested to submit a written request to obtain the solicitation package either by mail or by facsimile, FAX No. (505) 863-8382, Attention: Marlene Charlie. Telephone requests to obtain the solicitation package will not be accepted. A limit of 40 solicitation packages will be made available for the first 40 requests at no-charge. Technical inquires must be submitted in writing 10 calendar days before the bid opening date to the Contracting Officer.
