Description
The proposed work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materi= al, supplies, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidental necess= ary to replace roofing on family housing facilities (single dwellings with attached garage, duplexes and multiple unit apartment buildings). BUILDINGS WITH SHINGLE ROOFS: Remove entire roof assembly including al= l roof accessories down to wood deck. Re-nail loose roof sheathing and fascia board. Apply new underlayment, 25-year warranty asphalt shingle= s, factory painted drip edge, roof jacks, and metal flashing and storm collars. Install new prefabricated "brick style" chimney unit. Instal= l gable end attic vents and pan style attic vents on roofs. Install new factory painted metal fascia board cover and new seamless rain gutter, gutter guard, downspout and splash pads. BUILDINGS WITH SBS MODIFIED BITUMEN ROOF SYSTEMS: Remove existing built-up roof system and roof accessories down to wood deck. Re-nail loose wood deck and fascia boar= d. Install approved underlayment, layer of 1-inch rigid insulation board, 1/2-inch recovery board and new factory painted metal fascia (gravel st= op) on buildings with low sloped roofs. On houses with parapet walls insta= ll approved underlayment, layer of 1-inch insulation board, tapered insula= tion system (1/4-inch to 12-inch slope), and one layer of 1/2-inch recovery board. ALL BUILDINGS, over insulation, hot mop a heavy base sheet and = the SBS Modified Bitumen Roof Membrane. Install all associated metal flash= ing, wood curb, and roof jack for a complete roof assembly. Install new seamless metal rain gutter, gutter guard, downspout and splash pads. B= id document will be available for mailing on or about June 13, 2003. Invitation for Bid No. RMN00030059, Bid Opening Date: July 23, 2003= at 2:00 P.M./Local Time, at the BIA, Navajo Regional Office, 3rd floor conference room. This project is Total Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated price range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,0= 00. Interested bidders are requested to submit a written request to obtain = the solicitation package either by mail or by facsimile, FAX No. (505) 863-8382, Attention: Marlene Charlie. Telephone requests to obtain th= e solicitation package will not be accepted. A limit of 40 solicitation packages will be made available for the first 40 requests at no-charge.= Technical inquires must be submitted in writing 10 calendar days before= the bid opening date to the Contracting Officer.
