- This is a sources sought announcement only. No solicitation is being issued at this time. The USAFE Contracting Squadron, Rhine Ordnance Barracks, Germany, seeks potential General Services Administration (GSA) sources to perform a variety of non-personal engineering and installation services in support of the mission at Headquarters, United States Air Forces in Europe. The objective is to provide secure Air Force network ".af.mil" connectivity using Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to geographically separated personnel and units within the USAFE Theater of Operations. Support is anticipated at all military facilities within the USAFE Theater of Operations, to include the Azores, Iceland, Western, Central and Eastern Europe and Turkey. The contractor will also interface with other contractors, Internet Service Providers, or government agencies in support of installation, service operation, cutover of services and restoration. This listing should be considered neither final nor all-inclusive at this time. The anticipated contract period will be a base period of one year and a single one-year option period. This sources sought announcement is also issued for the purpose of market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. All GSA vendors capable of providing these services are invited to respond. Any information provided by industry to the government as a result of this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The government will not pay for any information submitted in response to this sources sought synopsis. The government requests interested GSA parties to submit a brief description of similar services offered to government and to commercial customers. Include contract magnitude, program management, technical complexity, OCONUS experience, GSA schedules, and a company point of contact. Please provide point of contact's mailing address, email address, telephone number, and fax number. Each submission is to be submitted only in electronic format by email to sheryl.carrington@ramstein.af.mil. Interested vendors are requested to submit their written statement of interest and capabilities no later than 1600 hours CET on 16 Jun 03.
