- Description
- The contractor shall furnish the necessary qualified personnel, facilities, materials and equipment to develop a methodology that can be used to determine whether differences in vehicle crash involvement are correlated with NHTSA brake test results. The methodology must be statistically valid, completely describe all data sources, and provide enough detail of the process to enable replication by another researcher. Developing a methodology may require obtaining vehicle stopping distance data, and motor vehicle crash data. For the purpose of this analysis, NHTSA is willing to provide the aforementioned vehicle stopping distance data and other data that may be useful in the analysis under a confidential agreement. The Government may require a demonstration test at the offeror's expense prior to contract. A fix price type award is anticipated with a period of performance four (4) months from the effective date of award. The RFQ will be mailed to those organizations responding in writing to the announcement. The anticipated issuance date is June 11,2003.
