- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, intends to purchase the following item, 40 each Amplifier, JCA Technology, Inc., P/N JCA23-445, NSN: NWS9-93-570-0001. This item is being purchased for the National Weather Service (NWS) for replenishment of the National Reconditioning Center (NRC) repair stock. This amplifier is used to repair the RF and STALO filters, which are part of the RF generator in the Nexrad Weather Radar Receiver. The NWS does not have any drawings for this item. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the government intends to acquire from one manufacturer under the authority of 41 USC253 (c)(1). The government knows of only one source authorized to provide the item identified. As these parts are in support of current Nexrad program, alternative or like items would not be acceptable without extensive testing. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the government intends to acquire under the guidelines of FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions. Any small business sources, able to provide the exact make and model of the equipment reference herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 days after its publication. Interested firms should submit in writing, its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the specified equipment. Also include the name, telephone number, and point of contact for businesses or other government agency to which it has previously provided the item. This information should be submitted by email to karen.l.christian@noaa.gov or faxed to telephone number 816-426-7530 ATTN: Karen Christian. Failure to provide the required information will deem your request non-responsive. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. The government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue a purchase order to JCA Technology, Inc., whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the government. The anticipated award date shall be within 20 calendar days after date of this announcement. The NAICS code for this action is 339999. All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Agency.
