- Description
- The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Regional Contracting Office in Budapest, Hungary, intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for USAID/Croatia to solicit proposals from qualified organizations interested in implementing a project aimed at Raising Incomes in Economically Distressed Areas Project (RIEDA) in Croatia. The objective of the project is to increase employment and incomes in these areas through increased agricultural production, the development of farmer organizations and the establishment of market linkages for selected products. RIEDA will contribute to greater incomes for individuals along the marketing chain, increases in productivity, job creation, higher outputs of agricultural products and ultimately a more vibrant economy. The period of performance is expected to be 54 months starting on or about September 15, 2003. Organizations expressing interest in this contract competition should do so online by clicking on ?Register as Interested Vendor? and filling in the Registration Form. Accordingly, there will not be a separate attachment to the RFP of a list of interested parties. The RFP is expected to be issued late June, 2003 and will be distributed through the Federal Business Opportunities website of the General Services Administration. Any amendments to this solicitation will be issued and posted on the website along with the RFP. Offerors are encouraged to check the FedBizOps website (http://www.fedbizopps.gov) periodically.
