- Description
- The project consists of construction of a new facility to be located adjacent to the National Center for Employee Development (NCED), 2701 E. Imhoff, Norman, OK. . Work also includes concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, steel structure, steel joists and decking, roof membrane over roof insulation, sheet metal, masonry, exterior insulation and finish system, metal stud partitions, building insulation, gypsum board walls and ceilings, ceramic tile, acoustical ceilings, resilient flooring, carpeting, custom cabinets and fixtures, carpentry, glass storefront system, painting, metal doors, wood doors, metal frames, door hardware, sectional overhead doors, coiling overhead doors, metal fabrications, toilet partitions and accessories, signage, lockers, loading dock equipment, fire protection and detection systems, security systems, electrical and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning complete and ready for use in accordance with the plans and specifications. Award will be made to the responsible offeror who submits the best combination of Technical Proposal, and Cost Proposal . The primary areas to be used in determining which proposal is most advantageous to the Postal Service are listed below: 1. Past Performance, 2. Supplier Capability, 3. Proposed Project Schedule. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority Owned, and Woman-Owned Business. The contractor are encouraged to subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% and subcontract with woman-owned business firms in an amount not less than 7% of the total value of its subcontracts. Offeror must include documentation from bonding agent indicating offeror?s capability at time offer is due. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on June 30, 2003. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on June 9, 2003 at a cost of $135.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only. Checks or money orders must be made payable to BRW, INC. Since this is a request for proposals, offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of offeror will not be disclosed. Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and any questions and/or information regarding this solicitation may be obtained by calling Kevin Gaughan, Project Manager at 214/819-8946. Offerors are encouraged to submit their proposal by one of the methods offered by the U.S. Postal Service (First Class, Priority Mail, or Express Mail)
