- Description
- The National Park Service, Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals from shipbuilding firms having the capability to perform the work described below. This solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) website, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI are requested to register at the www.ccr.gov website. Proposal documents will be available only at the NBC website. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing the http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notifications will be sent. Title of this project is C. A. Thayer Major Rehabilitation Project, for the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park The contract completion time is 730 calendar days after notice to proceed. THE C.A. THAYER SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY. A Mandatory Site Tour/Pre-Proposers Conference is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at 10 am local time at the C.A. Thayer located on the Hyde Street Pier, San Francisco, CA. Type of Procurement: A negotiated combined firm-fixed price/indefinite quantity contract will be awarded requiring submission of both technical and price proposals. The contract will be awarded to the firm providing the proposal with the best value to the Government using the following technical criteria as outlined in the solicitation: (1) Organizational Experience, (2) Qualifications and Experience of Key Personnel, and (3) Organizational Past Performance. Proposals must include a Small Business Subcontracting Plan. The National Park Service welcomes the participation of small, minority owned, and women owned business enterprises. Award of a contract will be contingent on approval of all compliance documents. Request for Proposal (RFP) documents will be available o/a Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at http://IDEASec.nbc.gov. No RFPs will be mailed. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336611. This procurement is unrestricted and is pursued under full and open competition. Submission date for offers will be approximately 30 days after issuance of solicitation; refer to actual solicitation.
