- NA Yellowstone National Park is requesting quotations for the lease of a truck tractor and 5th wheel belly dump with the option to purchase. Equipment offered can be new, used or refurbished. Bidders can quote multiple units but they must be listed as separate items. Responsive quotes will be evaluated and awarded on the basis of performance and the best value to the government. Technical merit is weighted higher in value than price. Equipment must be available for viewing within 300 miles of Park headquarters at Mammoth Hot Springs, Wyoming, to allow inspection by National Park Service representatives. Terms of lease must be detailed for a one, two and three years lease period. Equipment must be ready for delivery by July 14, 2003. Specifications are minimums and can be exceed by the bidder. Specifications are listed below, no additional information will be provided. This announcement serves as the solicitation, responses must be FAXED to 307-344-2079 or emailed to patty_oestreich@nps.gov by 4:00 p.m., June 20, 2003. Phone calls will not be accepted. Minimum specifications for lease/purchase truck tractor. This is a definite item and will be awarded. 1998 or newer model year Two year warranty/ 200,000 mile warranty No more than 500,000 certified miles Trade term condition ? No interior or seat damage ? No damaged glass ? No body or paint damage ? All lights and electrical components operational ? All factory items operational ? Tire, brakes, clutch with less than 50% wear ? DOT certified 62,000 GVWR 18,000 lb capacity front axle 46,000 lb capacity rear axle Drive controlled locking duel rear axle Self steering pusher axle Air ride suspension with cab controlled dump Day cab Driver's air ride seat 450 horsepower engine Jacob's engine brake 15 speed road ranger transmission Wet kit Air operated 5th wheel OPTION #1 - Belly Dump Trailer.
