- NA The Nashville District Corps of Engineers is soliciting quotes for overhaul speed reducers for miter gate at Kentucky Lock. Speed reducers will be removed and transported by the Contractor to the Contractor's repair facility. The repair facility shall be l ocated within 100-mile radius of Kentucky Lock. The Contractor shall with contractor's furnished equipment and labor, unload and perform work on the speed reducers as specified. Contractor shall disassemble and clean all parts to be reinstalled, replace i nterior piping, as needed, blast clean and paint outside of reducer box, casting as specified. Clean and purge all piping, reassemble using new parts and lubricating oil as specified and furnish miscellaneous parts and materials. At the completion of all r equired work on the speed reducers, the Contractor shall notify the Contracting Officer that the reducers are complete and ready for delivery. The Contractor, with contractor labor and equipment, shall load and deliver the completed reducers. It is anticip ated that the solicitation for this work will be available on or about 23 June 2003; hard copies will not be available. Contractor may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet at the following address: http://www.orn.usac e.amry.mil on or after issue date of the proposal. Offerors are responsible for printing paper copies of the solicitation. Quotes are to be received by close of business on 7 JUL 2003. The date for receiving quotes may vary depending on issue date. Contrac tor shall complete all work on speed reducers and have ready for delivery by the contractor to the Government within 60 calendar days after the date received. This proposal is 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this project is 333612 with a size standard of 500 employees. All Contractors must be registered in the DOD's Central Contract Register at http://www.ccr200.com before award as required by DFARS 24.7300.
