- Description
- Project 502-02-106 Furnish all labor, material and equipment to repair laundry floors at VA Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana. Work includes but not limited to removing/demolishing and replacing two (2) existing deteriorated concrete floor panels in the Laundry Building No. 16. Temporarily relocate four (4) pieces of laundry equipment located on the first floor level. Temporarily relocate utility services, i.e. electrical services to various pieces of equipment located on the first floor and in the basement equipment room in order to keep the laundry plant operating while this work is being performed. Construction cost range $25,000 to $100,000. Completion time 210 calendar days. Ninety calendar day proposal acceptance period required, award is subject to availability of funds. Solicitation documents and applicable drawings will be made available not earlier than 6-25-03 and will be available for downloading from the website http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ or http://www.eps.gov/. Offerors will need to click on Solicitation 502-49-03 to download the documents. Pre-bid and walk through of the project time and location will be addressed in the solicitation. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at this web address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments, it is essential that offerors register on bidders mailing list for this solicitation to receive notification of amendments. Requests for paper copies of plans and specifications must be requested in writing to Attn: Herman Chelette (90C), Contracting Officer or via fax (318) 483-5063, e-mail requests not accepted. Negotiated award procedures to be made on price related factors, however, award may be made on basis of initial offers received. It should be noted that unsuccessful offerors are required to return bid documents or be prepared to reimburse the VA for their cost. NAICS Code 236220 applies.
