- The U.S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory, Pittsburgh, PA intends to issue a Sole Source Simplified Purchase Order to Scientific Dust Collectors Inc, Alsip, IL for a Scientific Dust Collectors Model SPJ-144-X4RT8 Pulse Jet Dust Collector to be used at our Albany Reseach Center, Albany, OR. The Model SPJ-144-X4RT8 Pulse Jet Dust Collector will contain the following: 1) Ryton singed fabric bags (set of 144) - 2 each; 2) Platform with rallings - 1 each; 3) Enclosed ladder - 1 each; 4) Slide gate 11 1/4" x 11 1/4" - 1 each; 5) Drum adaptor for 55 gallon drum - 1 each; 6) High temperature option - 1 each; 7) High temperature epoxy paint and sandblast inside and Outside - 1 each and 8) DELIVERY: FOB Destination is required (all freight included). This is considered a sole souce acquisition because the Albany Research Center has a number of continuous and non-continuous cleaning baghouses on site. Scientific Dust Collectors Inc have supplied all the recent continuous cleaning baghouses. Significant amounts of fundng will be saved by standardizing on one brand of continuous cleaning baghouses. This would allow for the stocking and purchase of only one set of spares for these systems and would save in ease of maintenance through less training and familiarization with the use of only one set of equipment. This vendor is the contractor for numerous continuous cleaning baghouses on the center. No other vendor makes compatible systems and has the spare parts and components that would interchange with the proposed system. No solicitation will be issued. Interested parties may submit a capability statement and pricing information for the requirement within 15 calendar days of publication of this notice, to be considered by the Government.
