- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Region 6, Olympic National Forest, is issuing a Request for Proposal for a bridge and culvert construction project. The projects, Tributary to Schafer Creek Culvert Replacement & Save Creek Bridge, located on the Olympic National Forest, includes providing and installing a 6100mm span x 3050mm rise open bottom steel arch, constructing concrete footings, removing an existing culvert, construction staking, clearing, riprapping the arch inlet and hauling borrow, aggregate surfacing, and seeding. Save Creek Bridge works consists of removing a 84? (2134MM) diameter culvert, removing the fill material and hauling it to a disposal site, restoring the stream channel, construction staking, clearing, driving piles, constructing concrete abutments, installing 5 precast, prestressed girders 106? 8? long, asphalting the bridge deck, placing riprap on the stream bank under the bridge, and seeding. The project locations are at mile post 30.8--Tributary to Schafer Creek, and mile post 26.5--Save Creek Bridge, on Forest Road 2200000 on the south end of the Hood Canal Ranger District of the Olympic National Forest, Township 20 North, Range 8 West, Sec. 1 W.M. North of Montesano, Wa. This acquisition, in accordance with FAR Part 19, will be advertised as a 100% small business, hubzone set-aside, and will also be advertised as a Commercial Items Request for Proposal in accordance with FAR Part 12. The magnitude of construction is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 237310, with a size standard of $28.5 M. A bid bond is required with the proposal, and the awardee will be required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds. Davis Bacon Wage Determination Rates apply to this acquisition. Solicitation R6-OLY-3-21-O will be available for downloading on or about June 25, 2003, with proposals due on or about July 10, 2003.
