Description
The United States Senate Office of the Sergeant at Arms is soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Network High Speed Printer System to be located in the United States Senate Dirksen Office Building, Washington, DC. The Offeror shall provide system hardware, system software, training, a one year warranty at no additional cost, and five twelve month options for maintenance. Minimum Printer Requirements: 1. Networked, high volume single printing unit; 2. Sheet fed design; 3. Speed of 110 prints per minute (8.5" x 11"); 4. Modular design to facilitate future upgrades for additional paper supplies or finishing options; 5. Redirect and/or print files to any available network printer from printer server print queue; 6. Printer console that allows viewing and altering spooled job priorities; 7. Print five position tabs in a consistent, high quality and effective manner; 8. Ethernet Interface (10/100 Mb/sec); 9. Capability to support the following printer languages: ? Adobe Postscript Level 3 ? PDF ? PCL ? TIFF ? ASCII; 10. Capability to support the following network protocols: ? TCP/IP ? AppleTalk ? EtherTalk.; 11. Support the following print driver platforms ? Windows 98/2000/XP ? Windows NT 4 or higher ? Mac System 10 or higher; 12. Simplex and ?tray-less? duplex printing; 13. 600 dpi resolution reproduction; 14. Monthly duty cycle of 1 million impressions; 15. Printer must have the ability to allow for job editing at the print console, as follows: ? Modify job count ? Modify finishing options ? Modify paper type ? Basic image shift - left, right, up, down; 16. Process variable data; and 17. Ventilation kit. A complete list of all minimum system requirements are contained in the RFP. The contract award will be a firm fixed price. Requests for an electronic copy of RFP 2003-R-028 entitled ?Network High Speed Printer System? must be submitted via e-mail to acquisitions@saa.senate.gov no later than 1:00 p.m. EDT on June 18, 2003. The subject line of the e-mail message should be RFP 2003-R-028 NHSPS. All requests for an electronic copy of the RFP must include the RFP number, company name, mailing address, telephone number, and name of contact person. Telephone requests for this RFP or additional information will not be honored. Proposals are due no later than 1:00 p.m. on June 30, 2003. The Senate or the SAA will not be responsible for any costs for the preparation of responses to the RFP. It is the Offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for release of solicitation amendments (if any). This proposed action is a full and open competition.
