Description
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking a qualified firm to provide all services: including labor, facilities, materials, equipment, and travel, except as otherwise specified in this contract, to provide Exhibit Planning, Design, and Fabrication Support Services for the Old Faithful Visitor Education Center at Yellowstone National Park. . The work will be divided into four distinct phases of work as follows: Phase I - Schematic Design, and Optional Phases II, III, and IV - Concept Design, Final Design, and Exhibit Fabrication Support Services. The combination of the following evaluation factors, which are listed in descending order of importance, is significantly more important than price is and will be used to determine the contractor's level of capability: 1. Documented previous performance that demonstrates the overall quality of the firm's work, particularly with regard to quality of design and the interpretation of complex scientific information to the public. This includes demonstrated creativity in the methods used to produce exhibits that are educational, tiered in technical complexity, address multiple learning styles, and are appealing and fun. 2. Documented professional qualifications, certifications, technical expertise, and previous work experience, including all principles and key staff of the firm, its subconsultants, and project personnel, with the types of services described under this contract. 3. Demonstrated ability to apply and integrate social science and evaluation into exhibit planning and design development to reach targeted audiences. This includes the ability to address the needs of special audiences including children and international visitors. 4. Demonstrated ability to apply interactive and advanced technologies such as computer-based technology to address complex interpretive themes 5. Demonstrated project management experience and expertise coordinating multidisciplinary teams and subconsulting firms.
