- NA The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District has a requirement to move a barge from Savannah Harbor Main Channel to Brunswick Harbor to Turtle Creek and return to Savannah Harbor Main Channel. Contractor shall provide the necessary equipment to tra nsport an approximately 80 feet long, 35 feet wide, with 6 feet of freeboard and a draft of 2 feet, barge. Attached to the barge is a 9 feet high, 9 feet wide, 20 feet long container box. There is no coaming on the deck. The contractor shall provide al l necessary plant, material, labor and supervision required to tow the barge from location # 1, Savannah near the junction of the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway and the Savannah Harbor main ship channel to location # 2, Brunswick Harbor area, in the vicini ty of the mouth of Jekyll Creek and Brunswick River, to location # 3, Turtle River near the state route 303 bridge over the Turtle River and return to location #1. The exact location will be provided after award of contract. The barge will remain on loca tion for an average of 30 days at each location. Contractor will have ten days, upon notification, to move the barge from location to location. The barge is seaworthy for ocean or inland waterway transport. There are no lines, fenders, camel, anchor, or ground tackle provided with the barge. Two spuds are available for use by the contractor. Set aside type: This is a small business set-aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 4492 and the North American Industry Classification Syst em (NAICS) code is 488330, with a size standard of $1,513,202.00. The anticipated solicitation release date will be issued on or about 20 June 2003, on the Internet at https://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. Note: Any prospective offeror interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this solicitation MUST REGISTER ON OUR WEBSITE at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. Do not send request for solicitations to this office. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Intern et after solicitation issuance. It is the Contractor's responsibility to check the Internet address provided above as necessary for any posted changes to the solicitation and all amendments. Paper copies of this solicitation will not he available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.
