- Presolicitation Notice The 97th Contracting Squadron at Altus AFB, OK, is issuing a Presolicitation Notice for the Carpet IDIQ. A contract will be awarded from the solicitation resulting from this Notice. The performance period will consist of one (1) twelve (12) month basic period and four (4) twelve (12) month Option periods. The scope of work is to provide the furnishing and installation of carpet for the 97th Air Mobility Wing (AMW) at Altus AFB, OK. The scope of work will include removing existing floor covering materials and their accessories; and install new floor covering materials with new accessories. Types of floor coverings and accessories include carpet (broadloom or tile), vinyl composition tile (VCT), ceramic/quarry tile, sheet vinyl, parquet, laminates, rubber tile, transition strips, binder bars, stair treads/nosings, thresholds, base cover, etc. This is a summary of the required services and is not intended to be all-inclusive. All work is to be performed by contractors/installers who are CFI Certified Floor Covering Installers (International Certified Floor Covering Installers Association), or manufacture?s approved installers. Foreman on the job-site must be certified Commercial II (C-II) or higher. The work will occur in various buildings on Altus AFB in indefinite quantities. The NAICS Code for this acquisition is 238330. The solicitation will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The guaranteed minimum contract amount for the life of the contract is $25,000 and will be applied to the Base Period. The solicitation package will be issued in the form of a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be made available for downloading via the Internet Electronic Posting Site at www.eps.gov on approximately 20 Jun 03 with a closing date tentatively scheduled for 20 Jul 03. All responsible sources meeting the criteria stated herein may submit a proposal. The Government shall consider all such proposals. SOLICITATION PACKAGES WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM THOSE CONTRACTORS LOCATED IN REGION 6 (OKLAHOMA, TEXAS, ARKANSAS, NEW MEXICO AND LOUISIANA). PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE DEPT OF DEFENSE (DOD) CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (CCR) DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD. THE WEBSITE FOR REGISTRACTION IS WWW.EPS.GOV. OFFERORS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CCR DATABASE WILL RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. REGISTRATION REQUIRED APPLICANTS TO HAVE A DUNS NUMBER.
