- Description
- The Contractor is to furnish all labor, material, parts and supplies necessary to perform cleaning, maintenance, inspections, repairs and/or replacements to elevators, escalators, equipment appurtenances and accessories, including hoist, machinery, and all cables. At SSA Headquarters Complex the following are required to be serviced: Altmeyer Building - 4 elevators, 1 Dumbwaiter, 1 Chair Lift; Operations Building - 8 elevators, 12 escalators and 1 Material Lift; Annex Building - 7 elevators; East High Rise Building - 3 elevators; East Low Rise Building - 4 elevators; Supply Building - 1 elevator; Computer Center - 10 elevators; West High Rise and Low Rise Buildings - 4 elevators and 2 escalators. At SSA Metro West Facility 13 passenger elevators and 34 escalators are required to be serviced. At SSA Headquarters at least two elevator mechanics are to be on site from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For the Metro West Facility at least one elevator mechanic is to be on site from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and at least one additional mechanic is to be on site from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. The on site requirement at each location is Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. The period of performance is one year plus 4 one-year options. The contractor is required to comply with the latest edition of the American National Standard Institute Code A17.2, General Services Administration Elevator/Escalator Preventive Maintenance Guides as well as other publications.
