- Description
- The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals to install a new security system at the Bridgeport, CT Processing & Distribution Center at 120 Middle St. The work consists of, but is not limited to, installing a new security system and all related work. The estimated cost of the work is between $350,000.00 and $450,000.00, with completion within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. Sealed offers will be received in this office prior to, but no later than, 3:00 p.m. on July 3, 2003. Offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until award of contract is made. Plans and specifications will be available on June 6, 2003 from the Northeast Facilities Service Office, 6 Griffin Rd. North, Windsor, CT 06006-0300, attn: Catherine Delasco. The non-refundable price for the plans and specs is $50.00, made payable by certified check or money order, only, made payable to "Disbursing Officer, USPS" and sent to the Northeast FSO. The $50.00 charge covers first-class mailing expenses in addition to the speck book and drawings reproduction charge. There will be a preproposal conference for this project on Wednesday, June 18, 2003 at 12:00 noon on the second floor of the Bridgeport P&DC. Prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. Offerors wishing to visit the site at a time other than the preproposal conference may contact Sheldon Cooper or John Hlavac at (203) 332-5380 or 5381. Proposals will be evaluated on 1) company environmental health and safety plan; and price. A project-specific safety plan must be submitted by the successful offeror before award. Guidelines for other project requirements are outlined in the specifications. The successful offeror will be required to submit a 100% performance bond and 100% payment bond before award of contract is made. This is not a formal invitation for bid; therefore, no bid bond or proposal guarantee is required.
