- NAICS Code: 235520 Nexus Floor System Public Notice June 05, 2003 Procurement Office: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Headquarters Procurement Operations Division Administrative Contracts Service Center (3803R) 1200 Pennsylvania Ave, NW Washington, D.C. 20460 Title: Nexus Floor System Response Date: June 19, 2003 Notice of Intent to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) of FAR Part 13 to SMED International. The Facilities Management and Services Division has a requirement for Nexus Flooring, miscellaneous hardware, and electrical components. Under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, the Government may award based on sole source if "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency needs." A determination not to compete this proposed purchase order has been made because SMED International is the only contractor that can meet a critical installation deadline. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION.
