Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO First Service, 737 Southpoint Boulevard, Suite D, Petaluma, CA 94954 for $27,612.00. Under the authority of FAR 6.302. Portable Backstop will include CLIN 0001 (2 each) Backstop, Main Court Portable, with 8? Extension (Modified to 7?6?), P/N 8000, American Sports; CLIN 0002 (2 each) Wheel Upgrades (upgrade of all wheels to Colson 8? Hi Tech. Replace single wheel casters with 2 dual wheel casters and add 2 Colson 4? wheels to rear of backstop), P/N GYM, American Sports; CLIN 0003 (1 pair) Shot Clocks, Basketball, 20? x 22?, Control Console and Brackets for Wall-Mount included, MP-41 Data Cable required, Color Black, P/N MP-5299, All American Scoreboards; CLIN 0004 (2 each) Holder, Shot Clock, Powder Coated w/ Plexiglass Face, P/N SC-1, American Sports; CLIN 0005 (2 each) Internal Shot Clock Wiring w/Red ?Time-Out? Indicator Li ght, P/N IW-1, American Sports; CLIN 0006 (1 each) Battery Kit, Rechargeable, Radio Remote Control. For indoor or outdoor use. P/N MP-5262, All American Scoreboards; CLIN 0007 (1 each) Shot Clock Radio Remote Control, For Shot Clock Pair Upgrade (MP-5298T & MP-5299), P/N MP-5265 All American Scoreboards; CLIN 0008 (1 each) Installation; CLIN 0009 (1 each) Freight. First Service is installing all Fitness Facility equipment. The equipment on this announcement needs to be installed at the same time, by the same subcontractor, to ensure consistency with the facility, coordination and integration of all equipment, ease of maintenance, and guaranteed interoperability. The scoreboard/remote controls need to work in conjunction with the shot clock on the backstop. Scoring equipment of another manufacturer will not operate on the same frequency thus not allowing one controller to operate all scoring equipment. This Notice of Intent is not a request for Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists and no telephone inquiries will be accepted. No contract will be made on the basis of EOIs, proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and should furnish detailed data concerning their capabilities to provide the services sought including pricing data and technical data sufficient enough to determine that a comparable source to the government is available. The Government will be the sole determiner regarding an offeror?s ability to meet all requirements. The government will consider all EOIs received prior to 1600 (4:00 p.m) Pacific Daylight time on 09 Jun 03. A determination by the government not to c ompete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. EOIs sent via the U.S. Postal Service should be mailed to Regional Contracting Office Southwest, PO Box 1609, Oceanside, CA 92051-1609. EOIs sent via Federal Express or hand carried must be delivered to Regional Contracting Office Southwest, Bldg 22180, MCB, Camp Pendleton, CA 92055 during weekdays, excluding federal holidays, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. EOIs may be submitted via facsimile to Attn: Judy Vinzant at (760) 725-8445/4346. The facsimile transmission must be clearly identify this notice and the name of the contracting officer on the first page. Submitters bear the burden of ensuring that the EOI reached t he designated contracting office on time and should allow a reasonable time for facsimile transmissions to be completed. All pages of the transmission must reach the office before the deadline specified and pages of a facsimile transmission that arrive in he office after the specified deadline will not be considered. The submitter bears the risk of non-receipt of facsimile transmission and should confirm by telephone that any facsimile was received. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 11 Jun 03.
