- Description
- This procurement is for MK 244 Mod 0 Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot Cartridges in accordance with Automated Data List 53711-7497064A, Drawings, Specifications and Quality Assurance Provisions. The Government will purchase these items on a Cost As An Independent Variable (CAIV) basis. The Government will require first article units, which are not part of production units. A safety survey will be required prior to award of the contract to ensure contractors comply with the requirements of DFAR 252.223-7002 and 252.223-7003. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration database and must be certified under the Joint Certification Program. This acquisition will not be restricted. All sources will be considered. Delivery is required F.O.B. origin. First Article units shall be required in 180 days. Production units are due 140 days after first articl e acceptance. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer is the best value to the Government considering past performance and price-related factors.
