- Description
- The Coastal Systems Station (CSS), Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit Lake Shore, Inc., 900 West Breitung Avenue, Kingsford, MI 49802-5316 on a sole source basis for one (1) each AN/SLQ-48 (V) Umbilical Cable Handling System (UCHS) Field Change Kit. There are two configurations of the UCHS. The original configuration contains obsolete hydraulic system components. The latest, current configuration is manufactured by Lake Shore. Lake Shore has developed the UCHS Field Change Kit to update the original configuration with new hydraulic system components that are currently available. To date, they have delivered five of these kits. To have any other manufacturer develop, fabricate and qualify another design for this one kit would result in duplication of costs and increase the future support costs by adding yet another configuration to the inventory. Delivery will be to the Coastal Systems Station, 6703 W. Highway 98, Panama City, Fl 32407-7001. NAICS Code 488320 applies. SBA Size Standard is $21.5M. FSC is 2030.
