Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to negotiate a contract modification with BAE Systems, Aircraft Controls, Inc. on a sole source basis for the procurement of non-recurring engineering to design, qualify, build, support installation and testing of a prototype digital autopilot system in the P-3C aircraft as well as the production quantities for the United States Navy's P-3C aircraft. This digital autopilot system is to be a functional replacement for the aging ASW-31 Autopilot System currently installed in the P-3C. Due to the fact that this effort will be sole source, the purpose of this modification is to facilitate subcontracting opportunities only. See Note 22.
