Description

NA By way of this notice, and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Chicago District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces its intention to award a sole source contract to STS Consultants, LTD of Vernon Hills, Illinois to continue performing engineering durin g construction for the Chicago Shoreline Storm Damage Reduction Project. In the interest of improving the quality of construction, to minimize cost and time growth, and to ensure continuity between the design phase and the construction phase of the subjec t project, it is in the best interest of the government to have the designer of record (STS Consultants) perform the remaining portion of engineering during construction work. The period of performance is approximately 24 months. It is anticipated that th e resultant contract will be firm-fixed-price. This notice is NOT a Request for Proposals, therefore, NO solicitation documents will be issued. Award is anticipated on or about 18 August 2003.
