- Description
- The 482nd FW Operational Contracting Office, Homestead Air Reserve Base, Dade County, FL, is issuing a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6 for grounds maintenance for approximately 745 acres of semi and unimproved grounds utilizing common commercial business practices. This is a Request For Proposal (RFP). Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to perform grounds maintenance in the airfield and wetlands areas. Vegetation in these areas shall be maintained to the height of 7 to 14 inches. Cutting of vegetation of the Airfield area may be accomplished by using equipment such as bush hogs, weed eaters and other related equipment necessary to accomplish the job. The Wetlands area may be accomplished by using equipment such as weed eaters, chainsaws, etc. that can be operated by walking through the areas or by working off a boat or airboat. No soil disturbance is allowed in the wetlands area. All prospective bidders must have a valid license from the State of Florida to use herbicides and pesticides and must be knowledgeable of and shall comply with all Federal, State, County laws and regulations. Contract period is 01 Oct 2003 through 30 Sep 2004, with four additional one-year option periods renewable each year for a total of five (5) years. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 0782, with a small business size standard of $5,000,000.00. The proposed solicitation listed herein will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. A Firm Fixed price contract will be awarded. The projected date for availability of the solicitation package is on or about 25 Jun 2003. DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration (NOV 2001) is incorporated by reference into this acquisition. Offeror must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration. The offeror shall provide its DUNS or if applicable, its DUNS + 4 number with its offer, which will be used by the Contracting Officer to verify that an offeror is registered in the CCR database. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Contractors are recommended to initiate CCR registration and or complete your annual confirmation requirements via the Internet at: http://www.ccr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423.
