- Description
- In accordance with the requirements of Section 3.2.2.4 of the FAA Acquisition Management System, this public announcement is issued to declare the intention of the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) to award a contract on a sole source basis to Pratt & Whitney, Inc. This effort is continuation of an ongoing study into COTS software and hardware component integration specifically regarding aircraft. This is the final phase (Phase 5) of this ongoing research project. Pratt & Whitney is the only company that possesses the necessary skill base to complete the research and will also allow the Government to realize economies of scale from the previous four (4) phases of research. The total value of this effort is anticipated not to exceed $300K. This is the final phase of this effort. It is not anticipated that any follow-on effort will be awarded.
