- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration=E2=80=99s (FAA=E2=80=99s), Southe= rn Region will host a two-day Procurement Conference at the Downtown Sherat= on Atlanta in Atlanta, Georgia July 29- 30, 2003. The conference theme =E2= =80=9C Creating Partnerships While Broadening Procurement Opportunities=E2= =80=9D, is designed to join together the Department of Transportation (DOT)= , the FAA, and Atlanta=E2=80=99s Federal, State, and City Acquisition Agenc= ies for the express purpose of educating and providing vital government acq= uisition information, and outreach to small business. The morning of the f= irst day there will be a general session followed by exhibits from both ind= ustry and government in the afternoon. The second day will consist of work= shops and one-on-one counseling. The some of the workshop topics are as fo= llowed: FAA Information Technology, Security, U.S. DOT Short Term Lending &= Bonding Program, FAA Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Opportunities at Ai= rports, FAA Technical Panel and FAA Dispute Resolution. Workshops will als= o be given by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and General Services = Administration (GSA). Please note that the workshop titles are subject to = change.
