- ****Correction: This amendment is to clarify that the requirement shall be for fifteen(15) interior low energy powered door operators in lieu of the 4 door operators that was indicated in the original notice. The detailed description of the doors and drawings will be listed in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) to be posted on June 9, 2003.**** The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Contractor to supply all labor, material, equipment and services necessary for the installation of (4) interior low energy powered door operators at the Gaithersburg, Maryland site. Complete specifications shall be issued with the Request for Quotation (RFQ) - This requirement is being procured using the simplified procedures identified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, as supplemented by FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts. The NAICS for this requirement is 332321 with a size standard of 500 employees. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The magnitude of construction is anticipated between $25,000 and $100,000. Work is required to be completed within two (2) to three (3) weeks after the order is placed. All responsible sources may submit a quotation. See Numbered Note 1 and 26. Evaluation of the quotations will be made based on the basis of the best value to the Government with price, experience, and past performance factors considered. The RFQ, amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about June 9, 2003 and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential quoters are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant order. No written request for quote document or telephone requests will be honored. Potential quoters are requested to direct all questions via email to lisa.sawyer@nist.gov.
