- Description
- United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid West Area has a project entitled Greenhouse HVAC Improvements. The project is located at the USDA, ARS, MWA, National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research, Peoria, Ilinois. This work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other necessary work to perform and complete the following: Base Bid includes installation of equipment to provide conditioned air to greenhouse 107 and in the head house. Work also includes ductwork modifications to improve the airflow in rooms 104 and 105. Supporting work includes construction of a retaining wall and installation of a new 200 amp electrical panel and feeder to replace the existing 125 amp equipment. The period of performance is 160 calendar days from notice to proceed. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Specifications and Drawings. A Payment Bonds shall be required. Estimated price range for Base Bid is: Between $25,000 and 100,000. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System code for this acquisition is 238220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $12.0 million. All responsible and qualified sources may submit a bid that will be considered by the agency. A pre-bid site visit will be scheduled and information provided in the solicitation package. This will be the only opportunity to visit the job site prior to submission of bid. The anticipated IFB solicitation package will be available on or about June 20, 2003, with opening date 30 days later.
