Description

The Forest Service is in need of renting temporary office space to be located at the Helena Ranger District in Helena, Montana. The office space will be comprised of temporary, modular, or mobile type structures and will be used until the rental period is up. The rental period will be for 1 year with options for 4 1-year renewal periods. The initial rental period will begin when the office space is ready for occupancy. General Requirements: Approximately 3200 sq.ft. is required. This space will consist of a work area with eight (8) cubicle spaces, one (1) training room, one (1) common locker room with lockers and laundry, mens and womens restrooms, telecommunications room, mechanical room, janitor?s closet, and storage. The structure shall meet American with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. The contractor will be responsible for submitting the structure for local building code review (City of Helena) and securing all permits for utilities, construction, and installation. The contractor will be responsible for connecting all utilities to the structure. This includes water, sewer, gas, electric, and telephone. A parking area shall also be provided and the existing parking area can be used if approved by the City and ADA requirements are met. This is a temporary facility and will need to be placed on a temporary foundation that can be removed after the rental period has expired. The foundation will need to provide an R-19 insulation skirting or equivalent. Water piping exiting the building will need to be sufficiently insulated to keep from freezing. The modular unit will be installed and/or constructed on site at the Helena Ranger District, 2001 Poplar Street, Helena, Montana. The contractor shall submit a schedule indicating time frames for building code review, permitting, construction, installation, and utility connections. In addition to cost, the government will also consider the submitted schedules as a basis for selection. NAICS: 531120. Size Standard: $6 million. Issuance date is on or about March 6, 2003.
