- Description
- The USDA, Natural Resources Conservation Service in East Lansing, Michigan is planning to solicit for services to assure cultural resources compliance for projects. Work involves identification of cultural resources for compliance of activities on projects throughout Michigan under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act to make a recommendation of effect for review and comment by the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) as appropriate. Products include reports to NRCS regarding recommendations for finding of affect of cultural resources In Michigan Approximately 500 sites per year in the State of Michigan will need investigation.The principal investigator will meet the Secretary of Interior's standards for the specific technical specialty as defined on pp 44738-44739 of the Standards and Guidelines. A firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract will be awarded. Work will be ordered on an ?as needed? basis starting with the base year, which would be the remainder of this fiscal year, with an option on the part of the government to renew for four (4) additional one-year periods. It is anticipated that award will be made approximately mid July 2003. Firms will be evaluated based on the criteria listed in the Request for Proposal. This is a total Small Business Set-Aside. The small business size is based on NAICS code 541990, which is $6 million average annual income. Firms can download the Request for Proposal from this web site on or about July 3, 2003. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Multiple contracts may be awarded.
