- Description
- The Department of the Treasury, Building Operations Branch intends to procure custodial and related services for the main IRS building, comprising approximately 1,000,000 square feet of grounds and various types of office space. This acquisition is being offered as a 8(a) competitive procurement utilizing best value procedures as set forth in FAR Part 15.101-1. The contractor shall provide services, supplies, and labor for complete custodial services to include executive offices, administrative offices, automated data processing offices (ADP) offices, hallways, restrooms, Day Care Center, fitness and jogging facility, print shop, copier center, library, mailroom, attics, operations and maintenance centers, air handlers, basements, sub-basements, loading dock, parking garage, moats, sidewalks and playground. PLEASE NOTE: The facility is approximately seventy years (70) old and may pose some unusual problems in performing services. The contractors are therefore put on notice to account for such age-related problems. In addition, the contractor will be responsible for providing trash and debris removal, snow removal, gathering of recyclable materials and compacting and other related services. National Agency Check (NAC) is required for all employees. The applicable NAICS for this procurement is 561720. This solicitation will be released on or about June 3, 2002.
