Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) is soliciting proposals for a federally insured bank to handle a lockbox operation. The bank will be responsible for depositing and accounting for approximately $1 billion in assets annually. The bank shall be responsible for the batching of all items (premium filings, correspondence) received; photocopying of all checks, wires and ACH advices and for the deposit of all checks, wire transfers and ACH deposits received on a daily basis. The bank shall also reconcile deposits and make timely daily electronic transfers of all available funds to the U.S. Treasury. The bank will package and send all forms and correspondence to PBGC?s data capture contractor at least twice a day. The period of performance for the base year shall be from date of award to September 30, 2004, with four one-year options for renewal. Telephone requests for this solicitation will not be honored. The solicitation document , including amendments, will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information concerning this acquisition. Paper copies of the solicitation and associated amendments will not be available. The estimated release date of the solicitation is June 25, 2003.
