- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested for the DoDDS Pacific "Information Technology (IT) Maintenance and Administrative Support Services" (ITSS). This will be a short lead-time requirement and is estimated to be awarded on or about 01 July 03 and the duration of this requirement will be three months, 01 Jul 03 to 30 Sept 03 FOR INTERIM SERVICE until a new five year contract is awarded on 01 Oct 03. Closeing date is 16 Jun 2003. This synopsis/solicitation is for the three month RFP requirement. Please see the attached solicitation for details. Another ITSS RFP will be issued for services beginning 01 Oct 03 for a basic 1 year contract with four (one) options in late Jun 03. PERFORMANCE PERIOD: This is an overseas requirement with all performance located outside the United States, therefore, no set asides will issued. This will be a commercial full and open acquisition FOR THREE MONTHS, 01 Jul 03 to 30 Sept 03. The Contractor shall provide Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) at selected sites throughout Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) Pacific. These services fall into four categories; Administrative Technologist (AT) support at DoDDS Schools, Computer and Peripheral hardware repair and maintenance, a Help Desk function at the DoDDS Pacific Director?s Office, Torii Station, Okinawa Japan, and as-required training services at various locations throughout DoDDS Pacific. DoDDS Pacific is the DoDEA component that is responsible for supporting the DoDEA mission in Korea, mainland Japan, and Okinawa. The DoDDS Pacific organization comprises 39 schools, 3 District Offices, and the DoDDS Pacific Director?s Office. The DoDDS Pacific provides pre-K-12 education to approximately 24,000 students. This mission is supported by 2,500 staff, faculty, and administrators. The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, management, materials, services, equipment and facilities (except such materials, equipment and facilities provided by the Government) required to perform the services listed in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) at the locations specified the PWS. As required the Contractor personnel will provide reimbursable Information Technology (IT) services in support of DoDDS Pacific-sponsored training events and conferences located at the Sanno Hotel, Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan and at other locations within the Pacific theater. Services shall be performed in conformance with the terms and conditions of the contract and as specified in this PWS. The Contractor shall use existing warranty and maintenance agreements. If the Contracting Officer determines that the number of proposals that would otherwise be in the competitive range exceeds the number at which an efficient competition can be conducted, the Contracting Officer may limit the number of proposals in the competitive range to the greatest number that will permit an efficient competition among the most highly rated proposals. Therefore, the offeror's initial proposal should contain the offeror's best terms form a price and technical standpoint.
