- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure additional engineering, logistic, quality assurance, configuration management and administrative support effort to allow for uninterrupted operations and maintenance support at AEGIS Shore Sites and Centers in Moorestown NJ. The additional effort will be obtained under the existing contract (N00024-99-C-5122) with Lockheed Martin, Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems (LMNESS), and will extend the existing contract by six months. Negotiations will be conducted with LMNESS pursuant to 10.U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). LMNESS is the developer and sole producer of the AEGIS Weapon Systems, and is the only known company that posses the knowledge, experience and expertise to maintain operations at the AEGIS sites.
